Pray for Team Warsaw, March 21, 2008

Opportunities!
We are thankful that the Lord has been answering our prayers for giving us opportunities to share the gospel with people in our spheres of influence. You never know as you go about daily tasks when the Lord is going to open a heart for someone to just ask and listen.
Please join us in praying for:
· JAB – she and her family have been in contact with our team for awhile and she has heard the gospel several times. Last week, a team member had another opportunity to share. She asked for a Bible and is willing to meet and study God’s Word. Please pray that this soft heart for the Lord will find what she is looking for in Jesus Christ and that her husband will join her.
· A – is an important contact that has been involved in our work as a person of peace. Pray that the Lord will continue to draw this religious man unto Himself. And that he will see clearly Messiah.
· Pray for G & A, a young couple and former students of Joe. The couple is now persons of peace that are opening the door of new work in a new area and will be working with volunteers this summer. Pray for sensitivity with our volunteers that they will be able to be witnesses of how a dynamic faith in Jesus Christ can spur you to love and action.
· A director of a community center, S a long-time person of peace, is ill. We pray ask for prayer for this man’s healing as a testimony to God’s power in his life. This man once had leanings to pursue a religious life, but rejected it. He once was not very open to team members, but the Lord has been wooing him. Pray for this man’s heart to be open to Christ.
· Adrian’s family – Pray for this family as they have opened their home for an evangelistic Bible study. Piotr is leading this group consisting of family members and friends of the family. Pray that like the Phillipian jailer, this entire family will come to know the Lord and follow Him in baptism.
· Pray for M, a contact of Deborah’s. The Lord opened the door for a clear conversation, but M is one that feels all roads lead to God. Pray for more opportunities to share with her that only Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life!

Summer work, etc!
Pray for Joe as he finalizes some details for volunteer groups this summer. Pray for the suburb city of Celestynow that the Lord will begin now to give favor and open the hearts of the people.
Pray that Joe will have opportunities to connect with new students and opportunities to have spiritual conversations.

Re-connect!
Pray that Susan will have the opportunity to have dinner with JAB and family. Pray that this young woman and her family will be clearly confronted with the need to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. And that they will accept the free gift of eternal life offered through the death & resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Final Days!
Pray for John Mark as he finishes out his training time at ILC and heads to Warsaw on April 3rd. Pray that his vehicle will sell and he can get his final packing done as well as be emotionally ready for moving overseas. Pray for his family to have a sense of God’s peace as he leaves. We are thankful that the Lord has provided an apartment in a strategic location with nice landlords. The landlord speaks English and is a lawyer.

Transition!
Pray for Steven as he continues to equip Team Warsaw. Pray for him as he transitions out of leadership at the Otwock “Way of Life” Church. Pray for vision and wisdom in seeking new church planting sites. Pray for the ground in the new areas to be broken up and obstacles removed.
Pray for him to be strengthened in the Lord and His Word. Pray for the Lord to guard family time and continue to build strong ties with our sons in the States. Pray for him to be the husband and dad that the Lord desires him to be.

Pray for Deborah, Rebekah and John to be able to maintain their focus on homeschooling as spring weather arrives. Pray for Zach and Aaron to continue their commitment to Christ, as they study and work in the States.

Volunteers!
Final details for housing, transportation, ministry needs, and food are still in the process of being confirmed. Please continue to pray that the Lord will give us favor with the management to receive good prices and that the financial situation with the dollar will improve. Please began to pray for Praga, Celestynow and Pruskow, so that the hard ground will begin to be broken up and ready for gospel sowing.

Team Warsaw
Please continue to pray for our team members: Susan, Joe, John Mark, Deborah and Steven. Pray as we all are in the midst of preparing for a busy summer. We need spiritual strength as well as physical strength.

A BIG praise! The translation project of David Garrison’s book, Church Planting Movements into Polish is now complete and the books are in hand. We know that the Holy Spirit is what moves people to faith in Christ and He has been doing that since Pentecost. We are praying that this book will inspire all who read it to be diligent about the great commission task of making new disciples. We continue to pray for a spiritual awakening in Warsaw which will sweep across Poland.

Thank you for praying for our people group, our city and our team. May the Lord bless you as we celebrate together the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Here it is know as the “Great Night” referring to the fact that Jesus was resurrected before dawn and that when Mary and the women arrived at the tomb the stone was rolled away and the tomb was empty. And the angel said, “He is Risen!”

Blessings,
Deborah

I don't know if you will get this comment or not...But I was looking on the IMB mission website and I came across the ministry that you are a part of.
I have a big heart for what you are doing b/c my family is from a large Jewish background.
I would love for you to tell me more about the things that you are doing. Have a blessed day!
