Pray for Team Warsaw, March 1, 2008

New semester, new faces!
Joe requests prayer for the new students that are starting with him this semester at the university. Pray that Joe will have opportunities to establish relationships with those that are seeking. Pray that the Holy Spirit will open their hearts for the truth of Jesus Christ.

Settling In!
Pray for Susan as she settles back into life in Warsaw. She returned in January after a six-month stateside and then spent 3 weeks in Prague at Team Leader training. Now, she is back and trying to re-orient herself to life here and to her ministry. Pray that the Lord will give her wisdom as she begins a new term of ministry. Pray that the open doors that she left 7 months ago will still be open. Pray that the Lord will allow her to re-connect with those that are truly seeking.

Overwhelmed!
Pray for John Mark, our new team mate. He is currently at ILC in Richmond preparing for a 2-year journeyman term with Team Warsaw. Pray for him as the training there is intense and information overload. John Mark served one summer with us as a summer missionary, so he is coming in with some good experience. Please begin to pray for him. His arrival is early April and he will begin an intensive course in Polish language. We are excited about this young man joining our team and are grateful that the Lord has led him our way.

Foundational!
Pray for Steven as he continues to help lay a strong foundation at “Way of Life” church in Otwock. This new congregation is eager to continue to be a “missional” church. Pray as leadership lays a foundation of discipleship which includes being actively evangelistic. The church will be having some mission projects, including aiding Team Warsaw in some of their volunteer projects, and the church has also pinpointed some areas that they desire to start new congregations. Pray for Michal as Steven transitions out of leadership there. Pray for the Holy Spirit to guide Michal as he leads the church to be a dynamic impact in their community and surrounding areas.

New Work!
This summer we have several volunteer teams coming and we will be working in some new areas. Begin praying now that the hearts and lives of the people in these areas will be open to the message of Jesus Christ. Pray for an open door. We will be sharing more requests about this work in the coming weeks. Please begin now to pray for all the preparatory work that must be done, as prayer is an essential part of that work.

Team Warsaw
Please pray for Susan, Joe, John Mark, Deborah and Steven. Pray for our health, our spiritual walks, and for our safety. Pray for wisdom as we each seek to follow the Lord’s leadership in regards to our ministry. Pray for the Lord to use each one of us to accomplish His ministry of reconciliation in Warsaw.

Thank you for praying for our people group, our city and our team.

Blessings,
Deborah
