Urgent Prayer Needed!

Yesterday during our worship service, we dedicated the time to worship the Lord and pray for Andrian. It was a very moving service and Andrian's brother attended. We then prayer walked to the hospital and prayed outside the hospital with the family. They are very tired and worried, but were so thankful for all your prayers on the behalf of Andrian.

Here is the updated information:

The doctors removed the ventilator and Andrian is breathing on his own. This is a good sign, but he has still not regained full consciousness. The family feels that is somewhat aware of what is going on, as he squeezes their hand and tries to open his eyes. Church members taped greetings (with his favorite song in the background) and he seemed to respond to the music and voices.

He is still critical, as they cannot determine the cause of the heart attack. Although, the doctors feel that there is minimal damage to the heart muscle itself. Further diagnostic and advanced care are needed desperately. However, there are currently no beds available in any advanced care facilities in Warsaw. The Regional Children's hospital is full and experiencing renovations. The Cardiac Care Center is full. The family does not have funds for private care, so must wait on an opening of a bed for Andrian. Please pray that a bed will open up quickly. Please pray that Andrian will regain consciousness. Please ask the Lord to heal his body and restore him to health.

We are praying that the Lord will use this trial as a testimony to his family and neighbors in Otwock. We ask that you agree with us in prayer. We want the Lord to be glorified in this situation. As we are confident that the Lord has Andrian in His hands and is in control of all that is going on.

Here's a synopsis for those that are just getting this:

Andrian is a 15 year old boy and has been part of the fellowship in Otwock for 3+ years. He is an active participant and helper.
Thursday, he had a fainting spell while swimming and almost drowned. He was transported to the hospital via ambulance and twice had to be recussitated during the trip to the hospital. Throughout the night, he had several more incidences of his heart stopping and being recussitated. The total times were 5-8. Friday, he stablized somewhat but was still on a ventilator but moved his arms & tried to open his eyes when spoken to. The doctors determined that he had had a massive heart attack. They do not know if the drowning caused the heart attack or if he had the heart attack first, which caused him to lose consciousness in the pool. Sunday AM, they were able to remove the ventilator. He is still semi-comatose.

Andrian has had previous fainting spells, but previous testing done was inconclusive and unable to give the doctors any clue as to the reason for his fainting. He needs further diagnositc tests in a better facility than the local suburban hospital.

Please continue to pray. We will keep you updated, as we know anything new!!

We appreciate your prayers. It has meant a great deal to his family.

Blessings,
Deborah
